As a law enforcement officer and father of two daughters, one adult and one in high school, I strongly believe in empowering women to take charge of their personal safety. My concern for the well-being of my daughters is paramount. It’s important that they feel capable and secure in their abilities in any situation.

In a world full of uncertainties, it’s crucial to ensure the knowledge and skills to defend oneself. By becoming confident with the use of firearms, women are better equipped to navigate the complexities of personal safety and situational awareness. These capabilities promote a safer and more resilient community for everyone.

Earlier this month, we held a private Level 1 Defensive Handgun class for a group of women aged 15-50, a mom and her five daughters. Although Dad was familiar with handguns, it’s frequently easier for people to learn from an unrelated instructor. While this group had very limited experience, they were fast learners. By the end of the day, they were drawing from the holster, reloading, clearing malfunctions, and shooting with extreme accuracy. Those of age took the Texas License to Carry practical test, with two achieving perfect scores and the remainder in the 90th percentile. We all had a very enjoyable day, and they left feeling significantly more confident.

We’re blessed to live in the great state of Texas, where we have not only the constitutional right to own and carry a firearm but the support of our state to do so. We hope you will consider learning more about how to effectively defend yourself in a high-stress situation.

In these critical moments, there’s no room for hesitation, only swift and decisive action. The question is: Are you truly prepared for a life-and-death situation?

At our specialized training center, we focus on equipping you with the skills needed for survival. Amongst weapon systems, handguns pose a unique challenge, demanding mastery for effective use. Our foundational Level I course is designed to hone your combat/tactical shooting skills with a handgun, offering both beginners and experienced individuals an opportunity to build or enhance their proficiency.

Led by licensed active duty Police Firearms Instructors, our classes prioritize quality over quantity. With a limited class size of 10 students and two dedicated instructors, you are guaranteed the attention and coaching you deserve. This ensures a personalized and effective learning experience.

The Level 1 Defensive Handgun Training Class covers essential aspects of handgun use, including shooting from the holster, reloading techniques, immediate action for malfunctions, speed drills, combat/tactical marksmanship skills, and trigger reset. Completion of this course may qualify you for Concealed Handgun Basic Marksmanship Training, which can streamline the process for obtaining or renewing a CHL (Concealed Handgun License). It’s important to note that while this course includes the shooting portion of the CHL requirements, it does not cover the classroom law portion.

Prepare yourself for the unexpected and acquire the skills necessary to navigate life-and-death situations. Enroll in our Level 1 Defensive Handgun Training Class and take the first step towards a more secure and confident you.
